Luminal Media is the home of Luminal VDO: the video system built into Luminal, our content system. It runs on your domain, behind your own certificate, in the same admin as the rest of your site.

Each guest gets a link of their own and is on with one click. You run the show from the Director page: pick a layout, add titles and a news ticker, bring in cameras, and cut between them. The same mix records and streams.

Made for community
That is still the best kind. The radio club, the porch, the booth at the diner: people you know, talking to each other, with somebody keeping it going. Luminal Media is built for that size of thing, and it keeps it in your hands.
No app for your guests to install, no account for them to make, and no third-party studio sitting between you and the people you are talking to.
How a show comes together
One room per show. Name it whatever you call it on air.
Each guest gets a link of their own. Remove one guest and only their link stops working.

Why self-hosted matters
Luminal VDO runs on your domain, behind your certificate. There is no seat count and no meeting length to watch. Your show is not somebody else’s free tier, and it cannot be discontinued out from under you.
Rooms, guests and links live in the same admin as the rest of your site. It is a Luminal module, not a separate service to log into, remember the password for and reconcile against your show notes.
